8 grrrrrrr-8 months of Lia-fun!
As you can probably tell by now, keeping up with anything and everything has become increasingly more difficult as the months pass and our Lil' Lia continues to grow
cuter, smarter, quicker, bigger, stronger and all-around more fabulous! And if caring for while adapting to an infant wasn't already a fully-consuming undertaking, there's this other full-time thing on the side better known as
my job which makes finding any downtime or blog-catch-up time .... ummm... ridiculously challenging.
But here we are nonetheless because I sooooooooooo love to gush and dish on our baby girl...so even though we're way late on her great 8th ... we must document and remember all the special everythings, because they are simply too precious and worth it all.
Milestones & Memorable Moments during her 8th month include:
- mastering sitting up (from any and all positions)
- crawling (Here comes the baby-proofing exercises! It is simply amazing and amusing what she can find her way into.)
- Waving Hello and Goodbye - super stinkin' adorable! Melts our hearts!
- discovering her reflection in the mirror or other shadows on the walls
- cramming fists-full of Cheerios into her little mouth...definitely Lia's favorite food at the moment!
- trying other new foods and food blends- doing pretty well except for foods with too much texture...so far liking the bananas, avocado, apples, etc. Doc says it's OK to let her taste yogurts, eggs and even ice cream next...so we'll see.
- singing, humming when she hears some of her favorite tunes (Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star - I'm a Little Teapot - God Made You Special <Veggie Tales> to name a few)
- talking her sweet and special baby babble (with some precious words in between such as
Da-Da & Ma-Ma)
- dancing and bouncing when she hears music
- LOL's when she's kissed, cuddled, tickled and lifted in the air
- Hangin' poolside then taking a dip with Daddy for the first time - still our little water baby (loves all things water!)
So much more to share...but that clock keeps ticking...so enjoy the photos and see how Lil' Lia is progressing rapidly from
lil' baby to
big baby girl. Sometimes I look at her and can see her quickly transitioning into a little girl and it's so sweet but also so overwhelming when I consider how it all really changes so fast!
Still haven't found the magic pause button...but I'll keep searching. Tee-Hee.
